Author's POV
The rhythmic chanting of sacred mantras drifted through the air like a distant melody, each syllable reaching Sharvani as though it were travelling through layers of water. The sounds were faint at first, barely distinguishable from the ringing inside her ears, but with every passing second, they grew clearer. The fragrance of burning incense mixed with fresh marigolds and sandalwood filled her senses, making her brows knit together in confusion. Her head throbbed painfully, and a dull ache spread through every muscle in her body, as though she had slept in the most uncomfortable position.
